Mobile and Single Tickets for Seinäjoki City Transport

Prices are valid only on city transport lines 1–8, 10, 11, 13 and 13k.

Single tickets can be purchased with a bank card or cash.
Single tickets are valid for one hour.

Adults:

Groups Traveling Free of Charge in Seinäjoki City Transport:

• Children under 7 accompanied by a paying passenger
• Pets (leashed or in a carrier)
• War veterans
• Passengers traveling with a stroller/pram (with a child). Buses have space for two strollers at a time.
• Passengers with rollators on weekdays from 10:00 to 13:00
• Wheelchair users + assistant/escort
• Holders of the EU disability card with the “A” marking: the cardholder + an assistant travel free. If the assistant is not present, the cardholder pays the normal fare.

Discount Group Travel Cards

The following groups are eligible for discounts: students, seniors (65+), conscript and civil service personnel.
You will receive the right to load discount products when you present an valid official document proving your eligibility — e.g., SAMO student card, military ID, or ID for senior products.

Discount-group users must obtain their first travel card from our sales points (Yhdystie 11 office or City Hall info, Kirkkokatu 6).
In the Cityapp mobile app, students and seniors can purchase a mobile travel card. Students authenticate via the Studyinfo (Opintopolku) service by following the app instructions.

Monthly Cards – 30 Days

The card is personal and cannot be used to pay for another passenger’s trip.
The monthly card is valid for 30 days from the first validation on the bus.

Annual Cards – 365 Days

With an annual card, you get 2 months free!
The annual card is personal and cannot be used to pay for another passenger.
The card is valid for 365 days from the first validation on the bus.

Multi-ticket – 44 Trips / 90 Days

Each validation includes a one-hour transfer to another line.
The multi-ticket is valid either for 90 days or until all 44 trips are used.
You may also pay for another passenger if they belong to the same age/user group.

10-Trip Card (“Kymppikortti”) – No Expiry

Each validation includes a one-hour transfer.

Features of Komia Liikenne Travel Cards

• You can load Komia Liikenne travel cards online. Make online loads well in advance, preferably at least 24 hours before travel.
• You can check your card balance in the online loading service by entering your card number.
• You can load up to three periods at once.
• For monthly, multi-trip, and annual tickets, the validity period begins with the first validation after loading.
• When loading new periods, the card uses any remaining trips first; unused trips are not deleted.
• New trips appear after the old ones are used.
• City Hall info charges a €2 service fee per visit.
• Cards are valid only within the city transport service area on lines 1–8, 10, 11, 13/13K.
• In our online store, you can order a new card preloaded and delivered to your home. If you choose store pickup, collect it from our office (Yhdystie 11). Product prices are listed above.

Travel Tips

• Young passengers: please tell the driver your age if you are under 18 so you are charged the correct fare.
• Students: please have your student card ready.
• To speed up boarding, please prepare exact change or use a Komia Liikenne travel card, bank card, or mobile ticket.
• Avoid using large banknotes. Drivers may refuse notes larger than €20 if change cannot be provided.
• A child in a stroller and their accompanying adult are entitled to free travel. Strollers are boarded only via the middle or rear door. Please note that the driver will first serve passengers entering from the front door and then assist with strollers when possible. Outside rush hours (10:00–14:00) there is more space in city buses.

Pets

• Small pets are welcome on board free of charge.
• Please keep small animals on your lap and larger ones on the floor area, and ensure they are under control.
• Please do not allow pets onto seats — dirt from paws can soil the upholstery and other passengers’ clothing.

School Trips and Transport

Information on school transport provided by the city.
The basic education student travel card is intended for pupils who have transport rights granted by the City of Seinäjoki.
The school trip must be over 5 km, and the card is applied for via the city.
The conditions and decisions for the card are made by the City of Seinäjoki.
Students receive their card from school on the first school day.
The student travel card allows two (2) trips per day between 06:00 and 17:00.
The student card includes a one-hour transfer right.
A fee of €13 is charged for a replacement card if the original is lost or broken.
New cards must be collected from the Komia Liikenne office (Yhdystie 11, Seinäjoki) or ordered from our online shop.
